Sam Serwa
As Chief Marketing Officer, Sam Serwa plays a critical role in shaping Oak Valley Capital’s market identity and driving revenue-oriented brand execution across the OVC portfolio. He is responsible for leading digital transformation initiatives, refining go-to-market strategy, and translating brand positioning into measurable growth at both the fund and operating-company levels.
Sam brings a deep operating and marketing background spanning Fortune 500 and private equity–backed middle-market environments. He began his career at publicly traded Fortune 500 company PetSmart, where he developed a strong foundation in enterprise marketing and brand execution. He later transitioned into the private equity sector at A1 Garage Doors, where he led marketing strategy and execution, partnering closely with leadership and business development teams to support scalable growth initiatives.
At the operating-company level, Sam works hands-on with portfolio leadership to sharpen customer acquisition strategies, accelerate revenue opportunities, and build repeatable marketing systems that support sustainable expansion. His approach blends disciplined execution with data-driven decision-making to ensure marketing investments directly support value creation.
Outside of work, Sam is a devoted family man and an avid gardener. He brings the same long-term mindset to his work that he applies to life, whether planting trees or cultivating a thriving garden, building durable brands and scalable growth platforms with patience and discipline.
